The government has set new office hours for Ramadan. All government, semi-government and autonomous offices are to remain open from 9am-3:30pm with 15 minutes break from 1:15pm-1:30pm.
The decision was taken at a regular cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
While talking to the reporters after the meeting, Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said, “The Supreme Court will decide about its office time during the month of Ramadan, while private organisations will also decide on their own timing.”
The meeting also approved the draft of the National Agriculture Policy 2013 prioritising agricultural production, employment generation, poverty alleviation and ensuring food security.
