Pure food court to be set up in Gaibandha

Establishment of a "pure food" court is underway in Gaibandha.

A notification in this regard was published in the Bangladesh Gazette on March 24, 2013. A circular was also issued under Judicial Section 4 of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry on June 4, 2013, Judge Court sources said.

The government took the decision to establish the court here under the SRO (Subsidiary Rules for Office) No 73 Law/2013 of Bangladesh Gazette and the circular of the ministry, following the sub section (1) to section 41 of the Pure Food Ordinance,1959 (Ord. No LXVIII of 1959).

Senior Judicial Magistrate Ariful Islam has been nominated as the judge of the court to perform judicial works on Pure Food Ordinance related cases, said an office order signed by acting Chief Judicial Magistrate Mehedi Hasan Talukder. The court will start functioning very soon, said the sources.
