A fire has broken out at a garage of a residential apartment in city’s Naya Paltan area on Saturday afternoon.
Sources said the fire originated at the garage of Square Homes at about 5:10pm.
Paltan Thana SI Nasir Uddin said it is being estimated that the fire originated from generator glitch.
Poppy, a resident of the apartment fell sick due to the fire smoke. She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
On information, four unites of Ramna Fire Brigade rushed and douse the blaze.
Meanwhile, the residents alleged that the building lacked proper fire extinguishing equipment.
They said nobody from the building owner's side visited the spot after the incident.
