At least 20 people feared to be trapped inside as a five-storey residential building was collapsed due to heavy rainfall in the Mahim area of Mumbai on Monday, reports NDTV.
The building is located near the famous Mahim dargah or shrine. Locals say the trapped people are mostly children and senior citizens.
The Altaf Building had a Maruti car showroom on its ground floor.
It has rained heavily in Mumbai since yesterday. Today, trains and flights were delayed and water-logging and traffic jams were reported from different parts of the capital.
