Watch out for RTV’s new drama series “Goponey,” written by Kazi Shahidul Islam and directed by Wahid Anam from Monday to Thursday night at 8:30pm. Popular soap star Toukir Ahmed, Romana, Enamul Haque, Al Mansoor, Sharmili Ahmed, Ilora Gohor, Jenny, Dippanita and many more acted in the series.
The drama goes on to show an elderly widow named Mahbuba Khanam who lives in her two storied house, left to her by her late husband. She was married at the age of sixteen and since then has been residing in Dhaka. During her long marriage, she has lived in many areas of the city with her husband. Now, she lives with her children, she has one daughter and two sons.
The story moves forward with lives of three families residing within one household, sometimes in uproar and sometimes peacefully.
