3 held with 300,000 yaba tablets in Dhaka

The detainees are SM Salauddin, 48, son of Md Jakaria of Cox's Bazar, Md Jakir, 22, son of late Mohin Mia of Comilla and Md Khairul Amin, 19, son of Abdur Sukkur of Cox's Bazar. DMP Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said: “The unit conducted a drive and detained them in front of Kamalapur School and College around 9:50pm on Monday.” Meanwhile, they seized a private car that was being used for drug peddling. The deputy commissioner said: “In the primary interrogation, the detainees have confessed that they are engaged in drug peddling and they supply yaba tablets to different parts of Dhaka.”
