The list, released last night, now contains the names of 70 people, while it was 68 in the earlier version.
Mufti Mahmud Khan, director of legal and media wing of RAB, confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
A scrutiny of the list revealed that three have been removed from the previous list. One, Shazad Rouf Arko, was killed in the Kallyanpur militant den. Zubayer Hossain Faruq, 21, is studying in Malaysia and has contacted RAB, said an official. He could not say why the last one, Iqbal Hossain, 20, was removed.
The new list was also updated with five new missing persons, who are: Shahidul Alam, 35, from Chittagong, a madrasa student; Jiban, 27, from Nilphamari; Hossain Ahmed, 32, from Sylhet, possibly in Musul, Iraq; Emdadul Haque, 30, from Pabna and Rajshahi University 3rd year English student Sheikh Eftesam Ahmed Sami, 22, from Rangpur.
On July 20, RAB first published an unverified list of 261 missing people. After followups from the media and the public revealed many faults in that list, it updated the list to 68.
