Maasranga television presents “Mayer Chithi” a tele-film starring Intekhab Dinar, Moushumi Nag, Sharmili Ahmed, Srabony Ferdous, Ria and many more.
The story is about Rashed, his wife Rupa and their eight year old son Rajit. Rahsed works in a respectable position in a private organisation, his high powered and demanding job makes it impossible for him to take time off for his family.
On many occasions Rashed made plans to take his family out for a vacation but could not make it. His wife was apprehensive as to whether they will be able to make it off to their much needed holiday this time around.
To end all speculations, they did enjoy a family vacation, but on their return home, Rashed was shocked to hear the news of his beloved mother’s death.
Almost a year after the sad incident, Rashed comes across a letter from his mother while rummaging through some papers in order to look for an important document.
The letter was written a few days before his mother’s death. It was a plea requesting Rashed to visit her, as it has been some time since they last met and that she really misses him.
Since the letter was already open, Rashed realise with bitter pain that Rupa must have received and read the letter.
Her decision to keep him ignorant about the letter makes him draw the conclusion that she chose to do so in fear that their much needed and wished for holiday might get postponed again. The sad story moves forward in this accord.
