Nipun, the sensational diva of Dhallywood, has drawn in audience with her attractive acting skills and appealing appearance. She debuted as a film actress in 2006 through the movie “Pitar Ashon” and achieved the National Film Award twice for supporting roles in “Shajghor,” and “Chander Moto Bou.” She has already paired with many super hit actors and established good chemistry with them on screen. Recently Dhaka Tribune had the opportunity to catch up with the starlet:
What are you working on currently?
Right now I am well occupied with the shooting of my upcoming films, which are scheduled back to back. Presently I am at the shooting location of the film “Mayanogor” directed by Shanti Chowdhury, from here I will go for the shooting of “Mayer Momota” by Mostafijur Rahman, “Tobuo Tumi Amar” by Raju Ahmed and lastly to the set of “Padma Paraer Parboty” by Rafiq Shikdar.
Tell us about your characters in the respective films.
In “Mayanogor,” I am playing the character of a city corporation worker who is busy with cleaning up the garbage packed roads of this busy metropolitan, but the twist is that, all of a sudden she gets involved with the media and becomes a heroine.
“Mayer Momota” is all about the unconditional love, only a mother is capable of bestowing on her child. “Padma Parer Parboty” is a classic commercial film and “Shudhu Tumi,” revolves around the story of a painter from a rich family, who falls in love with a man from the under-privileged class of our society.
What kind of roles do you enjoy playing in films?
Well, I love challenges and diversity in my characters, also films with unconventional story line holds a great deal of appeal for me. I want to captivate my audience by presenting them with different roles all the time. Even, I don’t want to be paired up with the same actor again and again for avoiding redundancy in chemistry, I love different dimensions in each and every role I play.
You are seen regularly on TV now a days. What you think about quality and quantity?
Basically, I am less interested in quantity, I believe in quality and always try to maintain that. Whatever I am doing as an actress or model, I think, I should give my hundred percent to each work. Otherwise, it will be an injustice to my job and I have every intention of avoiding that experience.
