PM Hasina returning home after cutting Singapore trip short

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has cut her four-day state visit to Singapore short due to the US-Bangla Airlines plane crash in Kathmandu on Monday. She is returning home on Tuesday, the press wing of the Prime Minister's Office confirmed on Monday. A US-Bangla Airlines plane flying from Dhaka to Kathmandu crashed while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday, killing at least 50 people, an army spokesman told Reuters. As many as 71 persons, including four crew members, were on-board the aircraft, of which 37 were Bangladeshis, 32 were Nepalis, one Chinese and one Maldivian nationals.
