The Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Associations concluded their on-going movement for the eighth pay scale as the government accepted their demand.
ASM Maksud Kamal, Secretary General of FBUTA made the announcement at a press briefing yesterday afternoon after holding a general meeting with FBUTA members at the Dhaka University club.
On March 24, the cabinet committee decided to promote 25 percent teachers of the public universities to Grade I of the 8th national pay scale.
The public university teachers have been protesting against the 8th National Pay Scale since May 2015.
