Regent Airways, one of the leading private aviation companies in the country, is going to launch new flights to the Middle East.
The airlines will formally launch flights to Muscat, the capital of Oman, from Dhaka and Chittagong on April 7, according to a press release.
The airlines will use their newly acquired Boeing 737-800 aircraft for the Dhaka-Chittagong-Muscat flight, the fifth international route of Regent.
The aircraft, leased from an American company, reached Dhaka on Thursday, the press statement said.
Initially, the flight will operate four days a week - on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday – and will take off from Dhaka at 7:15 pm, making a stop-over at Chittagong, and will take off from there at 8:30pm to reach Muscat at 11:45pm local time. The returning flight will leave Muscat at midnight and make a stop-over at Chittagong at 7:30am, finally landing in Dhaka at 8:45am local time.
Including all taxes, the minimum fare of Dhaka-Muscat has been fixed at Tk20,565 for one-way trip and Tk39,478 for return trip. The one-way Chittagong-Muscat trip will cost Tk19,005 and the return trip Tk39,244.
