School of Development Alternative (SODA), College of Development Alternative (CODA), and University of Development Alternative (UODA) have organised a street painting event for the victims of March 25, 1971 by the Pakistani occupational forces.
The organisations have been behind this event since its inception. The street painting will take place on Manik Miah Avenue in the capital on Friday, says a media release.
It will begin from the evening of March 25 and continue till dawn the next day.
The day of genocide will be commemorated with music, poetry recitations, a street play, film screening, photo exhibition and reminiscence of the Liberation War.
The members of the organisations as well as the public are expected to take part in the event, in which founder and President of SODA, CODA, and UODA Professor Mujib Khan and Vice Chancellor of UODA Professor Dr Emajuddin Ahmed will attend as guests.
