The country’s Liberation War-based video game “Heroes of 71” is set to launch its second instalment “Heroes of 71: Retaliation” on March 26.
State Minister for ICT division Zunaid Ahmed Palak made the disclosure in a press conference in the city yesterday.
Funded by the ICT division, the first instalment of the game was launched on December 16 last year and is available for free download from Google Play Store. The game was created in respect of the heroes who had fought for the liberation of this country.
The state minister said the market for video games around the world is $100bn. “Considering this market, we have taken initiatives to train one million youths on ICT and these youths will develop new games to grab this huge opportunity.”
Shafayat Latif, managing director of game developer PortBliss, said the game will be available on other mobile platforms and on Windows operating system very soon.
