Brac officials in Afghanistan have met senior Afghan officials to find ways to rescue their colleagues abducted last week.
They held meetings with Baghlan governor, regional police commander and local shura several times on Friday and Saturday, the NGO said in a statement on Saturday.
Brac officials Shawkat Ali, 52, and Sirajul Islam, 35, were abducted at gunpoint when returning to Baghlan from a field visit at Kunduz province on March 17.
Police arrested the vehicle's driver and another man. They are interrogating the duo. Police said they were investigating the matter with utmost importance and were receiving constant assistance from Bangladesh's Foreign Ministry, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Brac International's Asia Region Regional Director Jala Uddin Ahmed is scheduled to travel to Kabul. The organisation was in touch with families of the victims.
