Privatization Commission Member Md Yunusur Rahman has been appointed the secretary of Finance Ministry’s Bank and Financial Institutions Division.
Public Administration Ministry announced the appointment in an order yesterday. The position was vacated on Tuesday when Secretary M Aslam Alam was made officer on special duty.
The secretary’s removal came hours after Bangladesh Bank governor’s resignation over the cyber heist of $101 million worth of reserve funds from an account at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
