Three members of Ansar have been killed and 30 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and truck in Shaistaganj of Habiganj district.
The deceased are Ziaul, 30, Sudeep, 24, and Babu Mia, 28.
Police said a bus carrying Ansar men collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound truck at Shutang area on Tuesday morning, killing the three on the spot and injuring the others.
Later, angry locals blocked the Dhaka-Sylhet highway for half an hour.
Shaistaganj OC Jakir Hossain said: “On information, a team of police rescued the injured and sent them to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.”
He said the bodies have been kept at the hospital.
