Finance Minister AMA Muhith will hold a press conference regarding the hacking of Bangladesh Bank's reserve fund around 2:30pm Tuesday.
Muhith’s Personal Secretary MM Zakiria Haque told the Dhaka Tribune on Tuesday morning.
Finance Ministry sources said Bangladesh Bank Governor Atiur Rahman returned to Dhaka on Monday after attending a conference of International Monetary Fund in New Delhi, India.
On Monday evening, the finance minister held meeting at his secretariat office to finalise the four-member inquiry committee to investigate into the matter.
On February 4, hackers stole more than $80 million from Bangladesh Bank’s account with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and wired it to bank accounts in the Philippines.
