A Dhaka court yesterday placed former Ekushey Television (ETV) chairman Abdus Salam on remand for three days in a case filed over the embezzlement of around Tk34cr.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Khurshid Alam passed the order when Anti-Corruption Commission Deputy Director Shamsul Alam produced Salam before the court seeking a 10-day remand.
The court also rejected Salam's counsel Ehsanul Haque Shamaji plea to reject the remand sought.
