Walton products to hit Nigerian market

Walton – a local manufacturer of electronics products – is going to enter the Nigerian market as the buyers of African country have decided to import electronics goods from Bangladesh.

In its first phase, Walton will export refrigerators and air conditioners to Nigeria, and later it would consider exporting other products, said a press release yesterday.

during the recent visit at the Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd in Gazipur, a three-member business delegation from J&K Walton Technologies NIG Ltd, led by its Chief Executive Officer Johnson Ogbo, decided to import electronics devices from Walton, added the release.

“With over 180 million population, Nigeria is a very promising and a potential market for Walton,” said Roqibul Islam Rakib, head of International Marketing, Department of Walton Group.

Walton product quality is similar to other global brand products, but prices are comparatively cheaper, he claimed.

“If we can deliver high quality product, we will be able to grab a lion’s share of the Nigerian electronics market.”

Johnson Ogbo, chief executive officer of J&K Walton Technologies NIG Ltd, said the quality of Walton products is the same as compared to other international brands.

He hoped that Walton products will do a very good business and also capture a lion’s share of the entire Nigerian market within a very short time.

Ogbo noted that supplying Walton brand products to other neighbouring countries of Nigeria like Ghana, Cameron, Niger, Chad, Mali, Libya, Egypt and Algeria would be easy.
