Indian hackers reportedly hack 20 Bangladesh websites

Indian hackers claim to have hacked into more than 20 Bangladesh-based websites, including three government domains, in retaliation to a fan's photoshopped image of Bangladesh bowler Taskin Ahmed carrying the severed head of MS Dhoni.

The incidents occurred soon after a picture of Bangladesh's right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed carrying the severed head of the Indian limited-overs captain MS Dhoni went viral over the social media ahead of the Bangladesh-India Asia Cup Final.

A team of 15 white-hat hackers of the Kerala Cyber Warriors, claimed to have launched the massive attack on Bangladesh websites for trolling the Indian cricketer, reported a number of Indian news outlets.

Hackers named their operation "#OP_TROLL_BANGLADESH" and threatened to deface more websites.

An Indian news outlet claimed that the hackers in an email conversation, stated: "We are proud Indians and will not allow such attack and defaming of the nation. People of Bangladesh trolled Dhoni with his morphed picture.

“Dhoni replied to them on the field and we are answering to them on cyber space. So, to teach them a lesson we defaced over 20 websites. We will continue to attack more websites if the morphed picture is found being circulated by them."

"Message to the citizens of Bangladesh, your cricket team is nothing in front of us," wrote the hackers on each defaced site.

Earlier on Sunday, India won the final match of this year's Asia Cup T20 tournament for a sixth time by defeating Bangladesh by eight wickets.

The Kerala Cyber Warriors claim that they are doing what Indian people expect the cyber police to do.
