The body of housemaid Jonia has become the center of protests by family members and locals in the capital's Mirpur area. Her family claims she was murdered.
Jonia was found dead at the NAM Garden apartment complex in Mirpur.
After protesting in front of Kafrul police station with Jonia's remains earlier on Monday morning, the family and around 150 people brought the body with them around 1pm as they blocked the road from Mirpur 10 to Cantonment Road.
Police dispersed the protesters around 1:45pm. Later, the body was taken to a local graveyard for burial.

Jonia's father Osman Gani claimed that his daughter had been raped and murdered.
Osman said: “Jonia was working at the house of Ahsan Habib as her mother Phul Banu's replacement for some days.
“She was raped and murdered by the family members of Ahsan.”
They claimed that the police were not willing to take the case because house owner Ahsan Habib is a government official. Ahsan is the chairman and director of the National Freedom Fighters’ Council.
Kafrul OC Shikdar Mohammad Shamim Hossain said: “We will surely file a case if they [Jonia's family] want it. The autopsy has been completed and we have detained the lift man and the security guard of the house in connection with the incident.”
DMP's Additional Deputy Commissioner (Mirpur Division) Masud Ahmed said: "We filed an unnatural death case regarding the matter last night [Sunday night].
"Jonia's parents have claimed that their daughter was raped. We will take the next step according to the autopsy report."
