Three people including a SSC examinee have been killed in separate two road accidents in Barisal.
Nurul Islam, Wazirpur police station officer-in-charge said a passenger bus named Tahasin plying on Barisal-Satla route hit a motorcycle and crushed two riders about 5pm on Sunday in Dutteswar area near Dhamura, leaving them dead on the spot.
The victims were identified as Mostafa Howlader, 17, son of Akbar Haoladar and SSC examinee from Dhamura high school, Hasan Sharif, 22, son of Md Sharif, driver of a rented motorcycle, both from east Dhamura of Wazirpur upazila.
Police seized the killer bus, but driver and helper managed to flee.
The bodies were sent to Barisal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC of Wazirpur said.
In another road accident, Sharbani Roy, 8, was killed on the spot as an unidentified pickup hit her about 4pm in Kashipur area on Barisal-Dhaka highway under Barisal Airport police station.
The victim was killed while crossing the highway.
Police recovered the body and sent to SBMCH morgue for post mortem, said Rezaul Islam, Airport police station officer-in-charge.
