The Department of Environmental Science and Green Planet Club of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organised the final round of the “Young Environmentalist Award 2015” on February 25. It was held at the IUB auditorium in Bashundhara.
Professor M Omar Rahman, vice chancellor, was the chief guest of the programme. Top five finalists of the competition presented their solutions in front of a panel of judges.
Farhana Abdul from the School of Life Sciences, IUB, bagged the championship while SK Shafak Hossain and Safa Zil Aziz Anan came in as second and third respectively.
The winners also received book-money from the Department of Environmental Science of IUB.
