A 42 year old male was suffering for one year with a massive swelling in his abdomen that was accompanied by gradual weight loss. Unfortunately, he was unaware of a large tumor growing in his body. He was investigated promptly by Dr. SMG KIBRIA, General, Laparoscopic & Vascular Surgeon of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka and was diagnosed with a massive tumor in his abdomen.
He underwent surgery on December 6, 2015 and a massive 14.8kg tumor was successfully removed. His post-operative recovery was smooth and he was discharged on December 10, 2015. It was one of the biggest tumors removed in the history of private hospitals in Bangladesh.
He is now doing fine, and has gone back to his regular activities including driving his car, all within three weeks of surgery.
