A Panchagarh court has granted 15 days of police remand to three persons in two cases filed over the murder of a Hindu priest in the district.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Marzia Khatun passed the order after police produced the trio before the court on Tuesday afternoon.
Police, in a night-long drive on Sunday, detained two JMB men and a Shibir activist for their suspected involvement in the murder.

The arrestees are JMB members Khalilur Rahman, 45, Bablu Hossain, 40, and Shibir activist Jahangir Alam, 25.
Priest Joggeshwar Roy, 50, was slaughtered with a machete on the verandah of his house, on Sunday morning.
Besides, his neighbour Gopal Chandra Roy, 35, received bullet injuries as he tried to save the priest.
Law enforcers suspect that members of banned Islamist group Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) slit the throat of the priest as part of their series of attacks on religious leaders and establishments.
