Coca-Cola Bangladesh announced its plans to celebrate the joy and intimacy of speaking in one’s own mother tongue today, at a press conference.
The campaign is being launched with a simple insight that, despite changes all around us, there are some relationships that are best expressed in one’s own mother tongue. For us in Bangladesh, the month of February takes on more significance, as the whole idea of an International Mother Language Day is a gift of Bangladesh to the entire world.
During this campaign, Coca-Cola Bangladesh will make it possible, in a small way, for our beloved consumers to celebrate their relationships in Bangla, with great pride and love. There will be special labels on the bottles expressing dedications for intimate and loved relationships such as motherhood and friendship among others. After launching this campaign in a limited manner last year and receiving very positive feedback, Coca-Cola Bangladesh is making it available in almost all markets across the country.
On this occasion, present at the launch event were Shadab Ahmed Khan, managing director, Coca-Cola Bangladesh Limited, Tapas Kumar Mondal, managing director, International Beverages Private Limited, Gazi M Shamsuddin, chief operating officer, Abdul Monem Ltd.
Shadab Ahmed Khan, from Coca-Cola Bangladesh speaking about the campaign said, “We live in an increasingly globalised world, but there are some things that simply do not have a substitute – the joy of expressing love and passion in one’s own mother tongue cannot be replaced. We believe that through these special bottles, our beloved consumers all around Bangladesh will find joy at being able to spread their love in their own language.”
