To art is human

Shazed ul Hoq Aabir performs poetry because he discovered that art can be a brilliant medium to feel and at the same time express what one feels about the inner-self and also the different aspects of the society. Performing poetry is an art that helps one connect to others, being one of the most powerful medium of expression.

“It is safe to say that artists don't only perform in order to play a role in the society, as it may restrain one from creative. However, an artist can uphold his ideological stance through his/her work to bring in changes and influence the many if not the masses. Shazed wrote four books, two of which has been launched at the Ekushey Book Fair this year. One of his books is a compilation of short fiction and the other is An English translation called State Against The Nation, A Brief History Of Muslim League 1847-1954.

What Shazed likes the most about his work is the way art allows an introvert like himself connect to people through his performance. He is yet to figure whether it is him opening up and interacting or the character he performs that is rather extroverted.

Many may wonder if art is inherited or gifted, however, Shazed begs to differ and believes that anyone can be an artist, that is, if they believe in themselves and has a passion for it. He believes that it requires not just hard work but genuine dedication.
