Indian air force chief in Dhaka on a five-day visit

Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, the chief of air staff of the Indian Air Force, arrived in the capital yesterday on an official visit for five days.

During his visit, Raha is scheduled to meet various dignitaries and chiefs of services as well as officials, according to a press release issued by the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.

Raha, who is also the chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Indian Defence Forces, will be visit various bases of Bangladesh Air Force around the country.

Furthermore, the Indian Air Force chief will present advanced training aids comprising aircraft sub assemblies to the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in Mirpur, the press release said.

He will also give a gift of the airframe of Alloute aircraft to the Liberation War Museum.
