Buet student killed by train in Dhaka

A student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) has been killed as a train knocked him down in the capital's Moghbazar.

The deceased is Tanvir Gohar Topu, 23, son of Mohammad Ali Gohar, of Mohakhali area and a third year student of civil engineering department at Buet.

Railway police SI Sirajul Islam said: “Tanvir was crossing the railway tracks at Wireless Railgate in Moghbazar when a train knocked him down around 10:30am Wednesday.

“He died of his injures at Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 12pm.”
