The rail communications between Dhaka and the northern districts of the country has resumed after eight hours of its suspension due to derailment of five compartment of a Dhaka-bound train from Dinajpur.
Divisional Manager of Pakshi region of Bangladesh railway Afzal Hossain confirmed the resumption of the train communications to the Dhaka Tribune.
The derailed compartments were removed from the rail tracks around 11:30pm Friday, he said.
Earlier, the train communications collapsed on the route around 3pm Friday.
