A local Jubo League activist has been killed in a road accident in Bagha Sharif Gate area under Bagha upazila of Rajshahi.
The accident took place in front of Bagha Sharif shrine around 9:30pm Friday.
The dead, Rabiul Islam, son of Arman Ali from Dakkhin Milikbagha village in the upazila, was an activist of Bagha upazila unit Jubo League.
Police said a Kushitia-bound bus from the city knocked down Rabiul while he was crossing the road following parking his motorcycle, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he died at the local health complex and the body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Bagha police station Officer-in-Charge Ali Mahmud said they seized the killer bus, but its driver managed to escape.
