Fog disrupts flights at Dhaka airport

Dense fog has disrupted flight operations at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

ASP of Armed Police Battalion (ABPn) Morshed Khan said no international flights landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport between 6am to 9am Wednesday due to dense fog, reports BSS.

Nine scheduled international aircrafts did not land here from 7am to 9am, he continued.

The last flight landed here at 5:50am while no flight left the airport till filing of the report at 9:20am, he added.

Meanwhile, the Met office confirmed that dense fog caused poor visibility disrupting normal public life this morning.

Met office spokesman Hafizur Rahman said problems of low visibility would disappear after two or three hours.
