A policeman has been killed in a road crash in the capital’s Gulistan.
The deceased is Ahmed Julhas, 35, son of Shamsul Haque, hailed from Shiblai under Brahmanpara upazila of Comilla.
The policeman was injured at 8:45am on Tuesday when two buses hit him from his two sides while he was going to his workplace, said Md Sirajul Islam, inspector of Protection & Protocol Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries at 6:00pm, said DMCH casaulty unit consultant Dr Mahbubur Rahman Kochi.
Julhas was working in Protection & Protocol Division of DMP, said the police official.
