No press briefing without permission on SC premises

The Supreme Court has decided to impose a ban on holding press conference on the court's premisses without permission.

The decision was taken on Monday afternoon, High Court Division Additional Registrar Sabbir Foyaz said.

He said: “Permission is a must in order to hold any press conference on the Supreme Court premisses.

“No press conference will be allowed without prior permission.”

However, the registrar said permission will not be needed to hold press conference at the Supreme Court Lawyers' Association building.
