At least four people have been killed and three others injured as a truck plunged into a roadside ditch in front of Barapukuria coal mine under Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur district.
The deceased are Rezaul Islam, 40, Ismail Hossain, 42, Jafrul, 38, and Dilip, 36.
Barapukuria Coal Mine Investigation Centre In-Charge SI Ferdous said: “A Dhaka-bound wood-laden truck plunged into a roadside ditch when its driver lost his control over the steering near the coal mine on Tuesday midnight.
“Four of them died on the spot. The injured have been admitted to Phulbari Upazila Health Complex.”
