According to a popular journalist’s column, after Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, it’s Varun Dhawan who is unhappy with the way his character was shown in the film. Varun Dhawan is not thrilled with how his role turned out in Dilwale. The actor feels he was merely ‘padding’ to the central plot that revolved around Shah Rukh and Kajol. In the same year that he delivered big hits with Badlapur and ABCD2, Varun apparently feels slighted at having being reduced to the comic sidekick in a Shah Rukh Khan vehicle, says the column.
Varun, who is currently shooting for his brother’s upcoming venture Dishoom with John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez, was initially stoked about being a part of a SRK-Kajol starrer. However going by what the report says, we wonder why the actor even chose to sign the dotted line when he read the script beforehand.
Meanwhile, the column also states that Kajol is regretting her decision of being a part of Shetty’s cast for the last blockbuster of 2015, alongside Bajirao Mastani. Kajol has said that she regrets turning down the lead in Kahaani, which is Sujoy Ghosh’s next so she could do Dilwale, says the column.
