Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have unearthed more than 22,000 bullets during a drive near the border at Nalitabari Upazila of Sherpur.
A RAB team started operation at 8am in Bhurunga Kalapani area that continued till noon on Monday and unearthed 22,000 bullets, said Sherpur’s Additional Superintendant of Police Abdul Warish.
Earlier in the day, RAB officials cordoned off the area in Nalitabari and conducted the drive, said Rumman Mahmud, deputy director of the RAB legal and media wing.
Details regarding the matter will be disclosed at a press briefing later in the day, he added.
