Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during her visit in the port city will inaugurate several development projects involving Tk5,000 crores.
Abdus Salam, chairman of Chittagong Development Authority (CDA), revealed the information during a press conference held at a local restaurant yesterday.
While reading out a written statement, the CDA chairman said: “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina pledged to develop the commercial capital while addressing a rally in Chittagong in 2008. Since then, prime minister has been continuously working for the development of the port city.”
The development projects include Bangabandhu Avenue Road, Kadamtali Flyover, Link Road from Dhaka Trunk Road to Bayezid Bostmai Road, Elevated Express Way and Chittagong Outer Ring Road.
The completed development projects which will be inaugurated tomorrow by the prime minister are Bangabandhu Avenue Road and Kadamtali Flyover.
The press conference was attended by CDA board members – Jashim Uddin Chowdhury, Tipu Sultan, Hasan Murad, CDA Secretary Tahera Ferdous and Deputy Secretary Amol Gua.
