The names of winners of the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2015 have been announced.
Bangla Academy General Director Shamsuzzaman Khan made the announcement at press conference held on Thursday, ahead of the month-long Ekushey Book Fair scheduled to be started on February 1.
The recipients of the award are: Altaf Hossain (poetry), Shahin Akhter (literature), Abul Momen and Atiur Rahman (essay), Moniruzzaman (research), Abdus Selim (translation), Tajul Mohammad (liberation war literature), Faruk Chowdhury (Travelogue), Masum Raza (drama), Sharif Khan (science, technology and environment) and Sujan Barua (child literature).
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will formally handover the awards to the winners on the first day of February during the inaugural ceremony of Ekushey Book Fair 2016.
