As many as 395 industrial plots in 20 BSCIC estates were being allotted to potential entrepreneurs across Bangladesh, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu told parliament yesterday.
District-level committees, headed by deputy commissioners, were supervising the process, he said, replying to a question.
Responding to another query, Amu said there were altogether 74 industrial estates under the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) where around 550,000 workers were employed.
