It takes years to build a perfect record but only a small controversy to turn it upside down. Bangladesh cricket team’s ace all-rounder, Shakib al Hasan would agree. He is now the father of a daughter with Umme Ahmed Shishir, a beautiful woman whom Shakib met while he was playing county cricket in England.
All seemed well, until an intimate photograph of a young Shakib with another woman resurfaced on social media. It was widely speculated that the woman in the photograph is Tanjia Zaman Methela, a model who’s doing good for herself in the industry. It was still all speculations until Methela took to Facebook to vent, as she was fed up with the constant rumours.
Part of her public post read, “With due respect to all the journalists and the people who are wondering who the girl who beside the superstar is...yes it’s me. But the thing is, it was young love and I have no regrets.”
We are yet to hear from the charismatic all-rounder about the issue.
