The government has appointed eight Deputy Managing Directors (DMDs) in different state banks, promoting them from the position of General Manager (GM).
“The newly promoted DMDs will hold the post until further instruction,” said a circular of bank and finance division of finance ministry issued yesterday with immediate effect.
According to the circular, ANM Masrurul Huda Siraji, GM of Sonali Bank has been appointed as DMD at Agrani Bank followed by AA Md Shajahan from Agrani Bank to Sonali Bank, Nazrul Islam Farazi from Agrani Bank to Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Firoze Khan from Bangladesh Krishi Bank to Palli Sanchay Bank, Syed Abu Asad from Rupali Bank to Sonali Bank, Golam Faruk from Janata Bank to Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Lutfor Rahman from Janata Bank to Probashi Kallayan Bank and Abdus Salam Ajad from Janata Bank to Bangladesh Krishi Bank.
Besides, Nazrul Islam Farazi will be attached with bank and finance division until further notice. He will take the salary and allowances from Bangladesh Krishi Bank, said the circular.
