Deputy Inspector General (prison) AKM Fazlul Haque has received an extortion call.
The police official said that he got the call from 01625514282 at 10:56am Tuesday.
"The caller identified him as a leader of Sarbahara Party demanded TK10 lakh from me. He also asked me to pay the amount per month for his party," Fazlul Haque told the Dhaka Tribune.
Following the extortion call, the police official filed a general diary with Chawkbazar police station.
