Famous artists Uttom-Suchitra are back! No, its not a joke, Uttom-Suchitra will be seen in a TV serial called Mohanayok from next April onwards. Surprised? Popular Tollywood actor Prosenjit Chatterjee will play the role of Uttam Kumar and Paoli Dam will don the role of Suchitra Sen.
Mohanayok tells the story of the life of Uttam Kumar, the crisis of his existence and the bridal dispute surrounding Suchitra Sen. Other renowned characters including Sabittri Chattopadhay, Supriya Devi, Hemanta Mukherjee, Subhas Chandra Bose, Satyajit Ray will also be part of the show. Venkatesh Film is producing the 100th episode, with viewers receiving a statutory notice warning them that “all characters are works of fiction.”
Mohanayok has been directed by Birsa Dasgupta.
