A Narayanganj court has fixed January 27 for the charge framing hearing in the seven-murder case.
Judge of Additional District and Session Judge Court 1 Miazi Mohammad Shahidul Islam set the date on Monday afternoon.
The court also rejected the bail petitions of prime accused Nur Hossain's five aides.
Twenty-two accused including Nur Hossain were produced before the court during the hearing.
On April 27, 2014, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, his three associates and driver were abducted from Fatullah area in Narayanganj city. At the same time, senior lawyer of the Narayanganj District Judge's Court Chandan Kumar Sarker and his driver were abducted on their way to capital Dhaka.
Three days into their abduction, the bodies of six people, including that of Nazrul and Chandan, were recovered from the Shitalakhya River on April 30.
Besides, the body of Jahangir, the car driver of Nazrul Islam, was recovered from the river on May 1.
