PM to address nation Tuesday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on Tuesday evening.

The premier will deliver the address marking two-year completion of her government, PM's Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokan said.

He said: “The prime minister will talk about the success of her government, present political scenario and militancy issues of the country while addressing the people of the nation.”

The 10th general elections were held on January 5, 2014 amidst a boycott from the then main opposition BNP.

The Awami League has secured absolute majority in the 10th parliament by bagging 232 seats – 105 contested and 127 uncontested.

The Jatiya Party became the second largest party in the parliament bagging 33 seats – 13 contested and 20 uncontested.
