36th BCS preliminary test Friday

The preliminary test of the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) will be held on Friday.

The test will be held at 161 centres in the divisional cities including Dhaka, according to Public Service Commission (PSC) seat plan issued by a press release.

BPSC prohibited uses of watch, pocket watch and electronic watches during the BCS test, the press release reads.

PSC said required number of wall clocks will be arranged at the exam centres.

According to the release, carrying cell phones, all types of electronic communication tools, calculators, books and bags to the examination hall would be considered as punishable offense.

Any candidate who would be found carrying the prohibited or illegal materials to the exam centres would be disqualified and the recoveries would be confiscated.

Examinees have been asked to reach respective examination centres and take their seats between 8:20am to 8:55am. Question papers will be provided at 9:00am while answer sheets at 9:30am.

More than 200,000 job-seekers are taking part in the examinations.

In the circular of 36th BCS, PSC advertised for 2,180 vacant posts for the government services including 542 general cadres.
