Ujan Ganger Naiya back on ATN Bangla

The brand new episode of the drama serial Ujan Ganger Naiya will air on ATN Bangla at 8:40pm on Mondays and 3:10pm on Wednesdays. Sister programme Natoker Pore will be aired right after the broadcast of the drama on Wednesdays, at 3:40pm. The show provides a platform to discuss the issues explored in the drama, and features artists from Ujan Ganger Naiya. The two shows are designed to help women through raising awareness about safer pregnancies and childbirth, and take better care of themselves, as well as their new born babies.

The programmes are produced by BBC Media Action and directed by Samir Ahmed and Bashar Georgis. The third series has been created by Anisul Hoque and written by Monirul Islam Rubel, Rafiqul Islam Poltu, Golam Rabbani and Shusmin Afsana. It’s directed by Bashar Georgis and Sameer Ahmed and the cast includes Riaz, Tarin, Mousumi Hamid, Dolly Zahur, Nazmul Huda Bachchu, Shatabdi Wadud, Jyotika Jyoti, Lutfur Rahman George, Rawnak Hasan, Maznun Mizan, Ashok Bepari, Tawsif, Nadia, Shamima Islam Tusty, Reekita Nondini Shimu, Iqbal Hossain, Mim, Opu, Uttam, Kabir, Rana, Rabiul Hasan, Shaikot Pramanik, Alamgir, Afzal and Jainal. 

Ujan Ganger Naiya and Natoker Pore are produced by BBC Media Action and are part of the BBC Agomoni project, which uses a range of media outputs to support people all over Bangladesh to adopt healthier behaviours and practices connected to pregnancy, childbirth and nutrition. The programmes are made with funding from the UK Department for International Development and Children’s Investment Fund Foundation.
