Watches banned in BCS preliminary tests

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has prohibited the use of any kind of watch during the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Preliminary examination to be held on January 8.

According to a statement issued on Sunday, the use of wrist watch or pocket watch or electronic watch has been banned during the BCS examination.

“The authorities will provide necessary number of wall clocks in the examination halls to check time,” the release added.

Since the 35th BCS preliminary tests, the PSC has prohibited the use of any electronic device, including calculators and mobile phones.

The 36th BCS preliminary test is scheduled to be held simultaneously in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Barisal, Khulna, Sylhet and Rangpur centres on Friday.
